Department of International Cooperation

KazIOR

  International cooperation at the Kazakh Oncology Institute is one of the key components of the institute’s strategic development. It covers a wide range of activities, from professional development of specialists, organization of joint scientific research, tumor boards, second opinion services for patients, invitations of leading specialists, to performing surgeries using 3D implants.
  Currently, the Kazakh Oncology Institute is an active member and partner of more than 30 international organizations and institutes from near and far abroad, including: World Health Organization (WHO), Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), Curie Institute, 3D Medical Technology, Center of Oncology Madrid, Oncology Center of Azerbaijan.

Areas of Activity of the Department:

- Joint organization of international conferences, trainings, and masterclasses

- Organization and conduct of scientific research, development of scientific projects, and search for grant funding

- Promotion of scientific exchange among doctors concerning medical practice and surgery

- Assistance in selecting educational centers for professional development

- Expansion of the network of partner organizations for future cooperation

Current Memorandums of Cooperation

  • Medicina Hastane Isletmeeling A.S., Turkey – Cooperation aims at the training of oncology specialists, exchange of experience in providing oncology care, and educational, methodological, and scientific activities, including joint scientific-practical conferences, exchange of specialists, scientific projects, and publications, carried out on March 28, 2025, in Istanbul, Turkey.
  • Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the National Center of Oncology of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kazakh Oncology Institute, signed in Baku, Azerbaijan, on June 13. The areas of cooperation include: joint scientific research programs, projects, and activities; exchange of international documents and scientific literature; exchange of specialists, enhancement of their qualifications, and organization of practical training courses; education of nurses and support personnel; organization of joint scientific-practical conferences, seminars, and meetings.
  • Curie Institute, France – Training of KazIOR specialists and pilot project on mammalogy screening.
  • Koln 3D Technology (Medical) Limited, Hong Kong – 30 3D implants provided free of charge under the Memorandum.
