Zhandos Amankulov

Head of the Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, radiologist of the highest qualification category

Dr. Amankulov is a leading specialist in oncologic imaging, PET/CT, and radionuclide diagnostics. He received training and completed clinical fellowships at top international institutions, including Mount Sinai Hospital (USA), Stanford University (USA), and Palacky University (Czech Republic). He is currently pursuing an Executive MBA in Healthcare at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Dr. Amankulov plays an active role in the development of nuclear medicine in Kazakhstan, including the implementation of radionuclide therapy, the expansion of the national PET/CT network, and participation in national and international research projects. He is the author of more than 50 scientific publications, a co-author of several clinical guidelines, and a holder of patents in radiology and cancer screening. He regularly represents Kazakhstan at international conferences such as ECR, ESMO, IAEA, and others.

Dr. Amankulov is a member of the European Society of Radiology (ESR), the European Society of Oncologic Imaging (ESOI), the European Society for Hybrid, Molecular and Translational Imaging (ESHIMT), as well as the Kazakhstan Society of Oncologists and Radiologists.

He has been awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2022), recognized as the Best Young Researcher in Oncology in Kazakhstan (2022), and is a recipient of the Young Scientist Award of the Kazakhstan Association of Oncologists (2017). He also holds the scholarship of the National Scientific Center of Surgery named after A.N. Syzganov (2011) and the Presidential Scholarship of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2007–2010).
